Privacy Policy
I'll keep this short and in plain English, because privacy policies shouldn't need a lawyer to decode. Here's exactly what I collect, why, and what I'll never do with it.
Last updated: June 30, 2026
The short version
I collect as little as I can get away with. I don't sell your data — not now, not ever. If you email me or sign up for the newsletter, I use that to talk to you and nothing else. That's the whole deal. The rest of this page is just the details.
Who runs this site
TheHealthGuy.net is a personal, independently-run review site. When I say "I" or "me," that's a real person behind the keyboard — not a faceless company. You can reach me any time at thehealthguy.info@gmail.com or through my contact page.
What I collect
Honestly, not much. It breaks down into three buckets:
- Things you choose to give me. If you fill out my contact form or subscribe to the newsletter, I get your name (if you share it), your email, and whatever message you send. Simple as that.
- Basic analytics. Like most sites, I use privacy-respecting analytics to see which articles people actually read and how folks find the site. This is aggregate and anonymous — I'm looking at trends, not at you specifically.
- Standard server logs. My host (Netlify) automatically records the usual technical stuff — IP address, browser type, pages visited — to keep the site running and secure. I don't dig through these.
What I do with it
Only the obvious, expected things:
- Reply to your messages when you reach out.
- Send you the newsletter — but only if you actually asked for it.
- Understand which content is worth writing more of.
- Keep the site fast, secure, and online.
I will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. There's no scenario where that happens. If that ever changed, I'd tell you loudly and give you the choice to opt out first.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses a small number of cookies — the functional kind that remember your preferences and help analytics count visits without identifying you personally. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work just fine. I don't run invasive ad-tracking networks here.
Affiliate links, in plain terms
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The retailer (like Amazon or a supplement brand) may use their own cookies to credit that sale. That's their tracking, governed by their privacy policy, not mine. My reviews are never for sale, and a commission never buys a better rating. You can read the full breakdown on my affiliate disclosure page.
Third parties I rely on
I'm one person, so I lean on a few trusted services to run this site. Each only sees what it needs to do its job:
- Netlify — hosting and form submissions. Your contact form messages are delivered to me through them.
- Analytics — anonymous, aggregate traffic stats.
- Email tools — to deliver the newsletter if you've subscribed.
I don't hand your data to anyone beyond what's needed to deliver these basics.
Your rights, no hoops
Your data is yours. Just email me and I'll act on it — no forms, no friction. You can ask me to:
- Tell you what information I have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your data entirely.
- Unsubscribe from emails (every newsletter also has a one-click unsubscribe).
Reach me at thehealthguy.info@gmail.com and I'll sort it out promptly.
Kids
This site is meant for adults and isn't directed at anyone under 16. I don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent me their details, email me and I'll delete it right away.
When this changes
If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be called out clearly — I'm not going to quietly rewrite the rules on you. Using the site after an update means you're okay with the current version.
Medical disclaimer
Quick but important: everything on this site is for information only and isn't medical advice. I'm not a doctor. Always talk to a licensed healthcare professional before starting any supplement, medication, or health regimen.
Still have questions?
If anything here is unclear, just ask. I'd rather answer than have you wondering.
